Battery swapping co. VoltUp raises $8-M led by EM Impact Capital
Mumbai-based Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS) and battery swapping startup VoltUp has raised USD 8 million in a seed round comprising equity and debt, led by UK-based impact investment firm EM Impact Capital.The new funds will be used to accelerate its MaaS offerings and for integration with multiple electric vehicle (EV) platforms for two and three wheeler vehicles.Founded in 2019 by Siddharth Kabra, Voltup offers battery swapping solutions for two- and three-wheelers through a portable power provider that helps save time for riders.The startup had previously raised USD 10 million in a pre-seed round from family offices, HDFC Bank and cKers Finance, among others.
