Battery-tech startup e-TRNL Energy raises Rs.27.4 Cr led by IAN Alpha Fund
Bengaluru-based battery tech startup e-TRNL Energy has raised INR 27.4 crore ( USD 3 million) in a seed funding round led by IAN Alpha Fund with participation from Navam Capital, Anicut Capital, Ather Energy cofounders Tarun Mehta, Swapnil Jain, and existing investors Speciale Invest, Micelio Mobility, and IIMA Ventures.Founded in 2021 by Apoorv Shaligram and Uttam Kumar Sen, e-TRNL Energy is engaged in developing chemistry-agnostic battery cell technology, compatible with current Li-ion and future Na-ion chemistries.The new funds will be used to finalize product development and establish large-scale manufacturing capabilities for Lithium-ion battery cells in India.
In Dec 2022, e-TRNL had attracted about USD 1 M from Micelio Fund, Speciale Invest and others.For FY25, e-TRNL had reported about INR 3 Cr in Net Loss.
