Battery-tech startup Lohum raises Rs.131-Cr led by Growth I9 Opportunity LLP
Delhi-based battery-tech startup Lohum has raised INR 131.4 crore (around USD 15 million) in a pre-Series C funding round, led by Growth I9 Opportunity LLP, with participation from existing investors including Baring India, Singularity AMC, Asiana Fund, and other investors such as Samriddhi Sehgal and Rainbow Investments. The new funding follows a USD 54 million Series B round that the company raised in March 2024.Founded in 2018, LOHUM develops Li-ion mobility and energy solutions through battery reuse and recycling processes. The company aims to extend battery life through its integrated battery recycling, raw-material refining, and repurposing operations. The newly raised capital will be used for capital expenditure and marketing initiatives.
Between Jul 2020 and Mar 2024, Lohum had attracted about USD 76 M from Asiana Fund, Baring India, Cactus Venture Partners, Singularity AMC, Stride Ventures, Ventureast and others.
