Beverage startup Bombay Banta raises Rs.8-Cr led by DSG Consumer Partners
Sonipat, Haryana-headquartered Bombay Banta has raised INR 8 crore in a pre-Series A funding round led by DSG Consumer Partners, with participation from hospitality entrepreneur Kapil Chopra. The round values the company at INR 80 crore.Founded in 2021 by Akkshita Malhotra and Meet Singh Malhotra, Bombay Banta claims to modernise traditional Indian beverage flavours through premium branding and packaging. Its product lineup includes carbonated variants such as Masala Cola and Kala Khatta, as well as non-carbonated lemonades. The firm intends to use the fresh capital to strengthen its distribution network, expand its presence in quick commerce, and broaden its product portfolio.The startup plans to launch a Diet Vanilla Cola later this month to enter the zero-sugar and zero-calorie carbonated drinks segment.
