Bharti Space to invest addn’l Rs.1,204-Cr in French satellite group Eutelsat: report

Bharti Enterprises’ space arm, Bharti Space Ltd, is investing an additional EUR 120 million (around INR 1,204 crore) in French satellite group Eutelsat . The infusion will be part of Eutelsat’s broader EUR 1.5 Billion (around INR 15,000 crore) rights issue.However, post investment, Bharti Space’s shareholding in the French satcom operator will decline to 17.88% from 24.09%. The French government will become the largest shareholder in the satcom company, displacing the Indian conglomerate.
