BII, Denmark’s CIP launch $300-M renewable energy platform ‘North Star’ in India Drone maker EndureA
This initiative represents the first investment under the British Climate Partners (BCP), a 1.1-B Pound climate finance initiative established by BII as part of its five-year strategy. India was selected as the first market for the BCP due to its target of 500 gigawatts of installed renewable energy capacity by 2030 and the significant climate financing gap the country faces.Noida-based UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles) and aerial robotic solutions provider EndureAir Systems has raised Rs.30-Cr from the Government of India’s Research, Development and Innovation (RDI) initiative.Founded in 2018 by Dr. Abhishek and incubated at IIT Kanpur, EndureAir Systems develops unmanned aerial vehicles and autonomous aerial systems for logistics, surveillance, and heavy-lift operations.The capital injection is designated for the company's SABAL-200 platform, a heavy-lift uncrewed aerial system with a 200-kg payload capacity. The new funds will be deployed towards research and development, prototype development, the expansion of manufacturing capabilities, and the enhancement of field-testing infrastructure.
Between Jul 2023 and Sep 2025, EndureAir Systems had attracted about $ 9 M from Asiana Fund, IAN Fund, Others.For FY25, EndureAir Systems had reported about INR 13 Cr in Operating Income and about INR 6 Cr in Net Loss.
