BII appoints Shilpa Kumar as MD and Head of India

British International Investment (BII), the UK's development finance institution and impact investor, has appointed Shilpa Kumar as Managing Director and Head of India. She will lead a team across two offices in Mumbai and Bengaluru and report to Srini Nagarajan, Managing Director and Head of Asia at BII.Prior to BII, Shilpa was with Omidyar Network India where she directed strategy and investments as a partner. She has also held board positions in several organisations including ICICI Securities, ICICI Home Finance, Clearing Corporation of India, and the National Investment and Infrastructure Fund (NIIF).
