Biomanufacturing player Laurus Bio raises Rs.120-Cr from Eight Roads Ventures, F-Prime Capital
Bengaluru-based Laurus Bio , a subsidiary of publicly-listed Laurus Labs, has raised INR 120 crore from Eight Roads Ventures and F-Prime Capital in return for a 14% stake.The new funds will be used by the company for expansion of manufacturing (fermentation sector), enhancing R&D, and to pursue growth opportunities.Founded by Satyanarayana Chava, Laurus Bio specialises in precision fermentation and recombinant technology. The company serves across segments like stem cells and regenerative medicine, vaccines and biological drugs, cultured meat, and cell-culture media manufacturing.
