Biomass marketplace BiofuelCircle raises Rs.35-Cr led by Pooja Unichem

Pune-based BiofuelCircle has raised INR 35 crore in a funding round led by Pooja Unichem LLP, with participation from existing investor Better Capital (Better Advisors LLP), Varanium Venture, Rajeev Kumar, Karma Capital Advisors Private Ltd, Shridhar Shukla, Amitabha Mukhopadhyay,Pvt Ltd, Ratnaprabha Mahendra Shukla, Shubham Khandelwal, and Aruna Khandelwal.Founded in 2020 by Suhas Baxi and Ashwin Save, BiofuelCircle operates a digital marketplace for biomass and biofuels that connects farmers, suppliers, and industries. The company follows a subscription and transaction model to facilitate price discovery, logistics, and trade finance, while assisting farmers in the monetization of agri-residue.
Between May 2022 and Aug 2025, BiofuelCircle had attracted about $14-M from Better Capital, Spectrum Impact, and others.For FY25, BiofuelCircle had reported about Rs.51-Cr in Operating Income and about Rs.7-Cr in Net Loss.
