Biotech startup Farm Watt raises Rs.32.5 Cr led by IAN Alpha Fund, Rainmatter
New Delhi-based Farm Watt has raised INR 32.5 crore in a funding round co-led by IAN Alpha Fund and Rainmatter.Founded in 2025 by Kumar Neelendu, Harihara Mohapatra, Priya Pagnis and Sachin Sakalle, Farm Watt operates biomass aggregation hubs across rural India. The firm purchases crop residue from farmers and processes it into products such as biogas, biochar, and biomass pellets. These activities support the production of compressed biogas (CBG) as a renewable energy source, while its biochar offerings are intended to improve soil health and promote eco-friendly cultivation.The company plans to use the funds to expand its biomass collection network by establishing new aggregation hubs. Additionally, the capital will be used to fuel the development of machinery, strengthen its supply chain and onboard new talent.
