Biotech startup Utopia Therapeutics attracts $1.5 M from Whale Tank

Hyderabad-based biotech startup Utopia Therapeutics has raised USD 1.5 million from Whale Tank , an investment group focused on life science innovations.The new funds will be used to accelerate the preclinical development of UT009, its lead immunotherapeutic candidate, targeting obesity. This investment will also support the advancement of UT009 towards regulatory toxicology studies, IND-enabling milestones and Phase I human clinical trials.Founded in 2024 by Uday Saxena and Gopi Kadiyala, Utopia Therapeutics develops vaccines and stem cell therapies for chronic metabolic diseases, particularly obesity.
