Blackstone exits packaging company EPL via Rs 2,032-Cr sale
Blackstone, through its affiliate Epsilon Bidco, has exited Mumbai-based packaging firm EPL ( formerly known as Essel Propack) by selling its entire 26.38% stake for Rs 2,032-Cr through an open market deal on the NSE. The shares were sold at an average price of Rs 240.57 apiece.The stake sale occurs ahead of the EPL's proposed merger with Indovida India.
Blackstone first invested in EPL in Apr 2019. The company went public in Sep 2020, as part of which, Blackstone had made a partial exit. It subsequently sold shares in Feb 2025.For FY25, EPL had reported about INR 1,323 Cr in Operating Income and about INR 210 Cr in PAT.
