Blackstone to deploy $6-B for building data centres in Maharashtra
Global private equity firm Blackstone and Pune-based Panchshil Realty have entered into an agreement with the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) to invest USD 3 Billion (around INR 26,000 crore) to develop data centres in the state.Blackstine has also entered into another pact with City & Industrial Development Corporation of Maharashtra (CIDCO), for the remaining USD 3 Billion into infrastructure assets such as data centres in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR).The company is setting up two data centres in Navi Mumbai and has parked over USD 300 million in each of these ongoing projects.
