Blackstone to invest $50-75-M in AI cloud startup Neysa: report
Mumbai-based AI cloud startup Neysa has raised an initial USD 50-75 million in a structured investment deal from Blackstone. The transaction allows Blackstone to increase its stake to a controlling position if Neysa meets specific business milestones. Existing investors in Neysa include Z47 (previously Matrix Partners India), Nexus Venture Partners, Blume Ventures, and Japanese tech conglomerate NTT, with Lightspeed Venture Partners also having joined for a stake previously.Founded in 2023 by Sharad Sanghi and Anindya Das, Neysa offers compute power and software tools for building, running, and managing artificial intelligence applications to businesses, startups, and government clients. This deal valued Neysa at approximately USD 300 million, and the investment is one of the largest for an AI company in India.Neysa operates in the GPU-led cloud and AI infrastructure segment, providing enterprises with compute capacity for deploying large-scale artificial intelligence work. The backing from Blackstone is intended to provide the startup with an advantage in securing client contracts. This investment marks Blackstone's entry into AI-focused data center operations in India and positions Neysa as a new data center platform for the private equity firm. Blackstone currently manages about USD 50 billion worth of assets in India.
Between Mar 2024 and May 2025, Neysa had attracted about USD 53 M from Anchorage Capital Partners, Blume Ventures, Nexus Venture Partners, Z47 and others.For FY24, Neysa had reported about INR 3 Cr in Net Loss.
