Blue-Collar workforce mgmt startup Smartstaff raises $4.3 M from Blume, Nexus, others
Smartstaff (formerly Qikwork), a Bangalore-based blue-collar workforce management startup, has raised USD 4.3 million in a new round led by existing investors Blume Ventures and Nexus Venture Partners as well as Arkam Ventures. Gemba Capital along with a few angels have also participated in the round. The funding proceeds will be used for further enhancing its product and team building. Smartstaff provides mobile-based workforce management and staffing solutions to blue-collars. It claims to help the manufacturing industry upgrade from legacy processes, and reduces attrition and absenteeism while improving their workers' visibility into payouts, statutory contributions and their timesheets. The firm claims that it tracks over 30,000-man hours of work on its platform with clients such as Raymonds, Enamor, Dixcy and others.
