Bread brand The Health Factory raises $3.5 M led by Peak XV's Surge
Mumbai-based bread brand The Health Factory has raised USD 3.5 million in a seed funding round led by Peak XV's Surge. The round also saw participation from angel investors Kartik Mehta, Ali Tambawala and Sunil Tulsiani.The company plans to use the funds to accelerate its Research & Development (R&D) initiatives and to expand its retail presence. It claims to have notched up a 65X increase in sales over the past 24 months.Founded in 2018 by Vinay Maheshwari, Mohit Sankhala, and bakery expert Jos Vast, The Health Factory makes preservative-free products, including Protein Bread, Vegan Protein Bread, and Zero Maida Bread, available in Mumbai, Delhi, and Bengaluru.
In Aug 2022, The Health Factory had raised INR 2 Cr in a seed round funding from Venture Garage, Vikas Nahar and other angels.
