Brighton Park Capital sells its 8.73% stake in life sciences player Indegene for Rs.1,105-Cr

Private Equity firm Brighton Park Capital has exited Bengaluru-based Indegene by selling its entire 8.73% stake for INR 1,105.25 crore through block deals. The divestment was executed through two special purpose vehicles: BPC Genesis Fund I SPV, which sold a 5.75% stake for INR 727.76 crore, and BPC Genesis Fund I-A SPV, which offloaded a 2.98% stake for INR 377.5 crore. The transaction was completed at a price of INR 525 per share.Established in 1998 by Anand Kiran, Dr. Sanjay Parikh, Gaurav Kapoor, Dr. Rajesh Nair, and Manish Gupta, Indegene specializes in life sciences commercialization and healthcare technology.

Brighton Park Capital first invested in Indegene in Jan 2021. The company went public in May 2024, as part of which, Brighton Park Capital had made a partial exit. It previously sold shares in Mar 2023.For FY25, Indegene had reported about INR 1,094 Cr in Operating Income and about INR 181 Cr in PAT.
