Brookfield, BCI, and GIC divest 7.3% stake in Altius InvIT for Rs.3,656-Cr
Brookfield, British Columbia Investment Management Corporation (BCI), and GIC have divested a 7.3% unitholding in Mumbai-based Altius Telecom Infrastructure Trust for INR 3,656 Cr through open market transactions. The sale involved more than 22.15 crore units disposed of in the price range of INR 165 to INR 165.05 per unit. Brookfield sold 13.75 crore units through its affiliate, BIF IV Jarvis India, while GIC’s arm, Anahera Investment, offloaded nearly 5.53 crore units. Additionally, BCI, through Rossland IMC Limited Partnership, divested 2.86 crore units.Among the purchasers, Larsen & Toubro acquired more than 3.8 crore units, representing a 1.25% unitholding, for a total of INR 627.82 crore.Founded in 2024, Altius Telecom Infrastructure Trust operates a telecom infrastructure platform that is claimed to support over 2.57 lakh sites, facilitating technologies ranging from 2G to 5G, as well as AI and Internet of Things applications.
