Brookfield to close $300-M pre-IPO round for Altius Telecom Infra Trust
Brookfield Asset Management is in talks to finalise a $300-M pre-IPO private placement for Mumbai-headquartered Altius Telecom Infrastructure Trust . The transaction is expected to close by early next month and is being advised by JM Financial, Axis Capital, Kotak Mahindra Capital, Citigroup, Jefferies, and Novaaone Capital.Altius Telecom Infrastructure Trust is a telecom tower manager established in 2019 that oversees a portfolio of digital connectivity assets across 22 telecom circles. The trust, formerly known as Data Infrastructure Trust, maintains a portfolio exceeding 257,000 communications sites and controls approximately 40% of the total tower inventory in India. The firm manages assets such as Summit Digitel, Crest Digitel, and Elevar Digitel.Brookfield is focusing its outreach on domestic financial institutions that currently hold investments in the Indian infrastructure investment trust (InvIT) ecosystem.
