Canada's CPPIB join Bain Capital for $480-M investment in IIFL Wealth: report
Bain Capital is bringing on board Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPPIB) to join its INR 3,680 crore (USD 480 million) investment in publicly listed IIFL Wealth Management. Headquartered in Mumbai, IIFL Wealth manages around USD 44 billion in assets as on December 31, 2021. The company provides wealth management, asset management, lending solutions and estate planning services to HNIs, family offices and institutions.
From the Venture Intelligence PE-VC Deal Database: In Mar-22, Bain Capital announced that it is to acquire 24.98% stake in IIFL Wealth Management for INR 3,679.95 crore (USD 486 M). The stake is to be acquired from existing PE investors Fairfax India and General Atlantic.
