Canada's OTPP, Max lead race to acquire Sahyadri Hospitals for over Rs.2,500-Cr
Canadian pension fund Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan Board (OTPP) and Max Healthcare Institute have emerged as the frontrunners to acquire Everstone Capital owned Sahyadri Hospitals for INR 2,500-2,700 crore. Singapore-based Ripple Dot is advising Everstone on the deal. Pune-headquartered Sahyadri Hospitals has seven hospitals in Pune, and one each in Nashik and Karad. It has more than 900 beds and 200 ICU beds, 2,000 clinicians and 2,600 supporting staff. Everstone Capital had bought Sahyadri in 2019 from leading neurosurgeon Charudutt Apte.
