Capital-A makes first close of Rs.300-Cr second fund at Rs.160-Cr
Capital-A , an venture capital firm focused on manufacturing and deep-tech, has raised the first close of its second fund at INR 160 crore. The fund is targeting a base corpus of INR 300 crore, with a greenshoe option of INR 100 crore.Domestic investors anchoring this close include Srikar Reddy of Sonata Software, Siddharth Bafna of Lodha & Co, Sekhar Boddu (a former Amazon technology director), Chamaria Group, Steel House Family Office, Avyay Jhunjhunwala (founder of Enzo Developers), the family office of Vijayalakshmi Agarbathi Works, and the Anand Rathi Group.Capital-A plans to deploy capital from this new fund into 15-18 early-stage startups across sectors such as aerospace, robotics, energy transition, and industrial hardware. It has already initiated capital deployment from the new fund, with seven investments and an additional three in advanced stages. Its portfolio companies include Manastu Space, Agrileaf, Misochain, and CraftifAI.
