Capria Ventures to raise $100-M for India Fund III
Global South focused venture capital firm Capria Ventures has launched a USD 100 million (approx INR 830 crore) called ‘Capria India Fund III’. The fund will see participation from both Indian and global investors. It would also have a greenshoe option of USD 125 million.The fund will invest in 25-30 startups across seed and pre-Series A rounds, with the average cheque size ranging from USD 500,000 to USD 2 million. It will back businesses in HR-tech, fintech, SaaS, and climate sectors and also in the manufacturing, agri-tech, and business-to-business (B2B) segments.Capria plans to set aside 25% of the fund for follow-on investments in portfolio companies from its previous funds to tap into late-stage opportunities and give earlier returns to its Limited Partners (LPs).Capria currently has INR 670 crore in assets under management (AUM) as part of its three India funds which have invested in over 40 startups.
