Carlyle exits PNB Housing Finance; sells shares worth Rs.2,712-Cr

Private Equity firm Carlyle (via its unit via Quality Investment Holdings) has sold its entire 10.44% stake (2.71 crore shares) residual stake in Delhi-based PNB Housing Finance fetching INR 2,712 via bulk deals on the stock exchanges.Founded in 1988, PNB Housing Finance is a key subsidiary of Punjab National Bank (PNB) providing housing and construction finance to individual and corporate borrowers.

Carlyle had first invested in PNB Housing Finance in 2015 , It made a part exit in 2018, It subsequently invested again in the company in 2021 and 2023.For FY24, PNB Housing Finance had reported about INR 7,050 Cr in Operating Income and about INR 1,508 Cr in PAT.
