Carlyle-led consortium to acquire controlling stake in defence electronics co. Micropack for Rs.1,17
A consortium led by the private equity firm Carlyle is set to acquire a controlling stake in Bengaluru-based defence electronics manufacturer Micropack for INR 1,175 crore (USD 125 million). The transaction involves an upfront purchase of a 60% stake, with plans to reduce ownership in phases while maintaining at least a 51% stake. The remaining equity will continue to be held by the firm's existing management and founder, V Sreekar Reddy. Other members of the consortium include Yali Capital and Florintree’s Mathew Cyriac.Founded by V Sreekar Reddy, Micropack manufactures printed circuit boards for sectors including defence, space, avionics, telecom, and medical electronics. Its clients include the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), and Data Patterns. The firm posted a revenue of INR 250 crore and an EBITDA of INR 100 crore for the 2026 financial year.
