Carlyle targets $300-M for India side fund; IFC to pitch in with $60-M
Carlyle Group Inc. is launching an India side fund to operate along the firm’s sixth pan-Asia investment vehicle.The private equity fund is targeting about USD 300 million, and the International Finance Corporation (IFC) has proposed an investment of USD 60 million.Carlyle’s India fund will invest in financial services, advanced manufacturing, consumer, media & retail, technology and business services, and health care. It will operate alongside Carlyle’s CAP VI, the firm’s latest regional Asia vehicle, excluding Japan.
