Carlyle to acquire 69% stake in auto parts maker Roop Automotives
Carlyle Group (via CA Carob Investments, Mauritius) is to acquire a 68.9% stake in Gurugram-headquartered auto components maker Roop Automotives Ltd . The Competition Commission of India (CCI) has given its approval for the deal.Roop Automotives is into manufacturing steering yokes, steering joints, slip shaft assemblies, etc. The firm makes 38 million yokes per year in more than 200 different variations. Roop claims to be the largest manufacturer of Steering Hot Forged Yokes in the world.
For FY24, Roop Automotives had reported about INR 724 Cr in Operating Income and about INR 62 Cr in PAT.
