CDC Group sells IIFL Finance shares worth Rs.337-Cr, registers 1.41x return
CDC Group has sold 14,000,000 equity shares (3.7% stake) at INR 240.64 per share of publicly listed IIFL Finance Ltd. on Jun 30, 2021 through a bulk deal on the BSE. The sale aggregates to INR 336.9 crore. Post the latest sale, the investor would hold 44,501,587 equity shares (11.75% stake) in the company.
From the Venture Intelligence PE-VC Deal Database: In Jul 2016, CDC Group had invested INR 1,000 crore in India Infoline Finance Ltd. (subsidiary of publicly listed IIFL Holdings Ltd). On Mar 30, 2020, India Infoline was merged with IIFL Holdings and the combined entity was named IIFL Finance Ltd. CDC Group ended up with a 15.46% stake in the combined entity.
