CDC sells addl Equitas Holdings shares worth Rs.104-Cr, registers 2.26x return

CDC Group has sold INR 104 crore worth shares in publicly listed Equitas Holdings Ltd. on Jul 28, 2021. Post the sale, which constitutes a 2.34% stake of the company, CDC would hold a 2.89% stake in the holding company of fellow-listed Equitas Small Finance Bank (with which it is expected to merge later in the year).

From the Venture Intelligence PE-VC Deal Database: In Dec 2013, CDC Group invested INR 100.79 crore in Equitas. It invested an additional INR 36.55 crore in Nov 2014. The company went public in Apr 2016 at INR 110 per share. CDC Group made a part exit in Feb 2021.
