CDC sells addnl IIFL Finance shares worth Rs.527-Cr; registers 1.76x return

CDC Group has sold shares worth INR 526.99 crore in publicly listed IIFL Finance Ltd. Post the sale, CDC Group would hold a 3.56% stake in the company.

From the Venture Intelligence PE-VC Deal Database: In Jul 2016, CDC Group invested INR 1,000 crore in India Infoline Finance Ltd (subsidiary of publicly listed IIFL Holdings Ltd). On Mar 30, 2020, India Infoline Finance Ltd was merged with IIFL Holdings Ltd and the combined entity was named as IIFL Finance Ltd. CDC Group ended up with 15.46% stake in the combined entity.
