CG Power unit invests in Japanese AI chipmaker EdgeCortix

Bengaluru-based Axiro Semiconductor, a wholly owned subsidiary of CG Power and Industrial Solutions, and Japan-based venture capital fund MPower Partners, have invested in Kanagawa, Japan-based EdgeCortix .Founded in 2019 by Sakyasingha Dasgupta , EdgeCortix is a fabless semiconductor company that specialises in energy-efficient AI processing. The company develops silicon and software platforms for real-time edge inference and has operations in India and the USA.The company plans to use the capital to expedite the development and commercialisation of its next-generation platforms for generative and agentic AI, including its SAKURA-X chiplet-based platform.
