ChrysCapital to acquire 90% in bakery chain Theobroma in Rs.2,410-Cr deal
Private Equity firm ChrysCapital is to acquire Mumbai-headquartered bakery chain Theobroma Foods for INR 2,410 crore. ChrysCapital will buy around 90% stake from the company's promoters and existing investor ICICI Venture. The promoters will retain about a 10% stake. Arpwood Capital advised the promoters on the deal.Theobroma has 200 outlets in 30+ cities. The firm’s revenue for FY25 is expected to be INR 525-550 crore.
Between 2017 and 2019, Theobroma had attracted about USD 20 M from ICICI Venture.
