CIEL HR acquires upskilling startup Courseplay for $2-M
Bangalore-based CIEL HR has acquired Mumbai-based upskilling startup Courseplay (Firstventure Corporation Private Limited) for an enterprise value of USD 2 million in a mix of cash and share swap.CIEL will acquire the complete stake held by the platform's largest external investor, Inflection Point Ventures (IP Ventures). It will also partly acquire Courseplay founder Arjun Gupta's stake. 30 employees of Courseplay will join CIEL HR and Gupta will continue as the CEO of Courseplay.
Between 2019 and 2021, Couseplay had raised about INR 7 Cr from IP Ventures, Hemant Gupta and others.
