Cipla to buy 32.5% stake in solar power SPV AMP Energy for Rs.7.5 Cr

Mumbai-based, publicly listed pharma firm Cipla is to acquire a 32.49% stake in AMP Energy Green Eleven for INR 7.5 crore, to set up a captive solar power project in Maharashtra. AMP Energy Green Eleven, a special purpose vehicle, was incorporated on November 21, 2020, and is engaged in the business of generating and supplying electrical power generated using solar energy. Cipla will subscribe to 7.5 lakh equity shares of the target with face value INR 10 each, and to 67,500 compulsorily convertible debentures of INR 1,000 each.
