Climate-tech co. Aurassure raises Rs.25-Cr led by Rainmatter
Bhubaneswar-based climate-tech company Aurassure has raised INR 25 crore (USD 2.8 million) in a pre-Series A funding round led by stockbroking firm Zerodha’s venture capital arm Rainmatter and existing investor Unicorn India Ventures, with participation from Maithan Alloys.Founded in 2022 by Akanksha Priyadarshini and Vamsi Krishna, Aurassure develops sensor-based monitoring, analysis, reporting, and tracking (SMART) devices to collect and analyse real-time data across environmental parameters, including air quality, weather, and floods.The new funds will be used to expand its operations in South Asia, Africa, and Latin America. The company also aims to expand its reach to 1,000 cities within the next three years. Additionally, the funds will support the scaling of its climate intelligence analytics platform, investment in product and hardware enhancements, and optimisation of manufacturing processes for larger sensor deployments.
In Oct 2023, Aurassure had attracted about USD 0.5 M from Unicorn India Ventures.For FY25, Aurassure had reported about INR 8 Cr in Operating Income and about INR 0.6 Cr in Net Loss.
