Climate-tech co. Prithu raises $1.1 M led by Transition VC
Gurugram-based climate tech company Prithu has raised USD 1.1 million led by Transition VC.Founded in 2024 by Sunny Vaish, Prabal Tomar, and Abhinav Pandey, Prithu offers regenerative agricultural practices that enhance soil carbon levels and generate high-integrity carbon removal credits. It claims to leverage its proprietary digital measurement, reporting, and verification (DMRV system), which combines on-ground soil sampling, satellite monitoring, machine learning, and biogeochemical modelling, to ensure generated carbon credits align with global standards.The fresh funding will be used to accelerate Prithu's on-ground operations. Over the next 12-24 months, it aims to expand to 500,000 hectares in nature-based solution projects, including high-tech biochar, enhance MRV technology, secure international partnerships, and explore new geographies.
