Climate-tech startup RenewCred raises Rs.4.25 Cr led by Campus Angels Network
Bengaluru-based RenewCred has raised INR 4.25 crore in a seed funding round, consisting of both equity and grants led by Campus Angels Network, with participation from Kairos Early Opportunity Fund, build3 Startup Studio and the VentureStudio of Ahmedabad University, Ideashacks Investor Network, ACT Capital Foundation, Social Innovation Lab by Citi Bank-IIT Kanpur, and angel investors.Founded in 2024 by Abhimanyu Rathi, RenewCred builds infrastructure for high-integrity carbon credits using advanced monitoring, reporting, and verification (MRV) supported by IoT, machine learning, and blockchain.The company plans to use the proceeds to deepen its methodologies, scale its Net Zero platform, and deliver carbon credits. RenewCred aims to enhance transparency, efficiency, and accessibility in carbon markets, focusing on technology-led projects and smaller developers in the Global South.
