Comics app maker Toonsutra attracts funding
Toonsutra , a Bengaluru-based app maker offering webtoon comics, has raised funding from US company Funimation’s founder Gen Fukunaga, who will join the startup’s advisory board.Toonsutra, founded by Sharad Devarajan and Vishal Anand, boasts a million downloads across Apple and Android stores. It claims to have partnered with global publishers to bring over 550 titles and 250,000 episodes of webtoon comic content in Indian languages.
