Consumer-focused VC firm Kairon Capital makes first close at Rs.90-Cr; targets Rs.200-Cr corpus
Deepankur Malhotra, a former executive at Amazon India, has launched a consumer-focused venture capital firm, Kairon Capital , with a target corpus of INR 200 crore, including a INR 50-crore greenshoe option.The firm marked its first close at INR 90 crore, raising capital from the likes of listed fast-moving consumer goods company Emami and a clutch of direct-to-consumer brand founders such as Saurabh Jain of Livspace, Rohit Chawla of Innovist and Yogesh Kabra of XYXX.Kairon Capital aims to invest in around 14-15 startups, investing across seed to early Series A.
