Consumer-tech startup Billion Hearts raises $4-M led by Blume Ventures

Bengaluru-based consumer-tech startup Billion Hearts has raised USD 4 million in a funding round led by early-stage venture capital firm Blume Ventures. The round also saw participation from General Catalyst and Athera Venture Partners.This seed round is a follow-up of the USD 250,000 raised in September from founders and senior executives of RedBus, Ola, InMobi, Flipkart and Myntra.Billion Hearts was started by Mayank Bidawatka, who previously started the microblogging platform Koo. The company plans to use the proceeds to build a global team and enhance its technology.The firm will build consumer products for global users. The company’s first product is slated to have its beta launch early next year for a select few users initially.
