Contract toy manufacturer Bidso raises Rs.63-Cr led by Blume Ventures
Bengaluru-based toy manufacturing startup Bidso has raised INR 63 crore (USD 6.7 million) in a Series A funding round led by Blume Ventures, with participation from existing investors Peer Capital and Sadev Capital. The funding was a mix of equity investment of INR 51 crore and venture debt of INR 12 crore from Alteria Capital.Founded in 2022 by Ashwin Jain and Rahul Agarwal, Bidso operates as a design-led manufacturing platform. The platform assists consumer brands in creating and producing customised products at scale, including product design, engineering, licensing, and manufacturing.The company has established partnerships with global toy brands and secured licences for characters. The fresh funding will be used by the company to strengthen product design and manufacturing capabilities, expand production capacity, and grow its product portfolio. The firm plans to expand into adjacent consumer product categories.
Between Mar-23 and Aug-24, Bidso had attracted about USD 2.54 M from DeVC India, PeerCapital, Sadev Ventures, and others.For FY25, Bidso had reported about INR 41.25 Cr in Operating Income and about INR 6.4 Cr in Net Loss.
