Converter of food waste to animal feed Wastelink bags $3-M from Avaana Capital
Delhi-based cleantech startup Wastelink has raised INR 27 crore (around USD 3 million) in its Series A round from early-stage investment firm Avaana Capital.The new funds will be used to enhance the firm’s tech stack and expand into newer categories. Wastelink has also set its eyes on ramping up its geographical footprint and exporting its products.Founded in 2018 by Saket Dave and Krishnan Kasturirangan, Wastelink is a B2B (business-to-business) food upcycling startup that uses its AI-powered tech stack to turn surplus food items into feed ingredients for animals. It caters to food processing firms as well as animal feed companies.
For FY24, Wastelink had reported about INR 20 Cr in Operating Income and about INR 12 Cr in Net Loss.
