Canada Pension Plan (CPP) Investment Board Private Holdings has sold 9.18 crore units in Powergrid Infrastructure Investment Trust (PGInvIT) at INR 85.58 each via a bulk deal on the BSE fetching INR 786 crore.PGInvIT owns, operates, and invests in operational power transmission assets, like long-term transmission lines managed by its sponsor, Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd (PGCIL), to provide stable returns to investors by collecting fixed tariffs, focusing on high availability, and exploring new revenue streams in power infrastructure.
