Creaegis closes first fund at $426-M; to invest in 15 cos

Private Equity firm Creaegis has closed its first fund at about USD 426 million (INR 3,500 crore. Creaegis is looking to build a portfolio of 12-15 companies with this fund and will back roughly four companies annually. Founded in 2018 by former Premji Invest managing partner Prakash Parthasarathy, Creaegis will invest with average ticket sizes ranging between USD 25 million and USD 40 million in growth-stage startups. The fund has been backed by prominent family offices as well as institutional investors including International Finance Corporation (IFC). Creaegis has already invested one-third of the corpus and its portfolio counts health-tech platform Medikabazaar, Zopper, and Kale Logistics among others.
