CVC Capital Partners buys HCG shares worth Rs.50-Cr; hikes stake to almost 58%

CVC Capital Partners has bought an additional 1.26% stake in publicly listed cancer care chain HealthCare Global Enterprises Ltd. (HCG) via the public markets, for INR 50 crore. Post the purchase on Jun 30, 2022 - from the company's founder B S AjaiKumar - CVC holds a 57.95% stake in HCG.

From the Venture Intelligence PE-VC Deal Database: In Jun 2020, CVC Capital Partners had invested INR 963.63 crore for a 53.35% stake in HCG at INR 130 per share through a combination of primary infusion (equity and warrants) and open offer to the existing shareholders The company went public in Mar 2016 at INR 218 per share.
