CX Partners buys controlling stake in IVF focused Sabine Hospital for Rs.420-Cr
Private Equity firm CX Partners has picked up a controlling stake in Sabine Hospital and Research Centre , a Muvattupuzha, Kerala-based fertility services, mother & child care provider, for USD 50 million (about INR 420 crore).Sabine Hospital will use the proceeds to open more infertility treatment centres in Kerala and neighbouring states. It currently has a 200-bed flagship hospital in Muvattupuzha in Ernakulam district and a 100-bed centre in Thiruvananthapuram. Sabine does about 500-600 IVF cycles per month, or about 42%-45% of all IVF procedures in Kerala. It plans to open at least six centres across Kerala in the next six-eight months, and double its bed capacity to 600 beds.Founded in 2010 by Dr Sabine Sivadasan, Sabine offers programmes in Infertility, Assisted Reproductive Technology, Obstetrics, Gynaecology, Paediatrics, General Surgery and Genetics.
For FY23, Sabine Hospital had reported about INR 160 Cr in Operating Income and about INR 48 Cr in PAT .
