Cybersecurity startup Treacle raises Rs.4-Cr led by IPV
Kanpur-based cybersecurity startup Treacle has raised INR 4 crore in its pre-seed round led by Inflection Point Ventures (IPV).The proceeds will be used towards technical and business development, for marketing and office expenses, partnerships, and expansion.Led by co-founders Subhasis Mukhopadhyay, Subhajit Manna, and Partha Das and incubated at FIRST, IIT-Kanpur, Treacle’s AI-based deception technology provides protection by analysing attackers’ behaviour, diverting them into mirage networks, and issuing early warnings to SOC (security operations centre) analysts.Since inception, Treacle has secured grants such as the C3iHub grant and the SISFS grant, totalling INR 26 lakh, in 2021 and 2022, respectively.
