D2C brand The Ayurveda Experience raises $27-M led by Jungle Ventures
NCR-based D2C (direct-to-consumer) startup The Ayurveda Experience (TAE) has raised USD 27 million (INR 223 crore) in its Series C funding round led by Jungle Ventures. The round also saw participation from SIDBI Ventures, Anicut Capital and Sharrp Ventures (Mariwala Family Office).The startup plans to use the fresh proceeds to deepen its brand presence in existing markets and shore up customer engagement on its platform. A part of the capital will also be used to ramp up product development and explore new distribution strategies.Founded in 2010 by Rishabh Chopra, TAE manufactures and sells beauty products such as hair oils, moisturisers, lotions, creams, and scrubs. It also offers services such as consultations, content, webinars, and courses on ayurveda. The startup claims to have catered to 13.8 lakh customers so far, selling products in more than 20 countries, including India.
Between May-16 and Nov-22, TAE had raised USD 16 M from Anicut Capital, Sharrp Ventures, Singularity AMC, Riverwalk Holdings, Kalpavriksh Fund, Fireside Ventures, Madison Capital, Others.
