D2C food brand MasterChow raises $1.2-M
Delhi-based Direct-to-consumer (D2C) brand MasterChow has raised USD 1.2 million led by Anicut Capital. The round also saw participation from existing investor WEH Ventures and D2C-focussed fund Fluid Ventures and angel investors. MasterChow is a ready-to-cook Asian cuisine brand that offers a range of premium Asian pantry staples like stir-fry sauces, ready-to-eat dips and noodles for quick, restaurant-style food at home. MasterChow plans to deploy the new funds to expand product categories, introduce new flavours and foray into the ready-to-eat segment. The company is also hiring for mid- to senior-level positions to optimise its ecommerce channels. Last year, the brand raised Rs 3.5 crore in funding led by Mumbai-based WEH Ventures.
