D2C footwear Chupps raises funding from Ajinkya Rahane
Mumbai-based Chupps has raised funding from Indian cricketer Ajinkya Rahane, with participation from existing investors.Founded in 2020 by Yashesh Mukhi, Chupps is a D2C footwear brand specializing in cruelty-free, vegan, and sustainable products. Its offerings include biodegradable sandals and sliders that use True Zero technology, allowing them to decompose within 24 months.The fresh funds will be used by the company to strengthen product innovation, expand its offline footprint across key markets, and build stronger brand visibility. The company is also looking to increase its footprint in the UAE and explore strategic partnerships.
In Jul-21, Chupps had attracted about USD 1.5-M from Green Frontier Capital, Others.
